With the official perimeter of the South Downs
National Park quite literally at the end of the
village’s main road, Boxgrove is the perfect
country retreat.
On your doorstep you’ll find a host of scenic
routes and trails, including that of the Kingley
Vale National Nature Reserve, where you can go
for a wander and take in the breath-taking views
over Sussex and the south coast – not to mention
one of Europe’s most impressive yew forests.
Reward your efforts with a pub lunch in one
of the local eateries, or relax with a bite in the
village tearoom, which is just a short stroll up the
village’s quaint main street from the comfortable
confines of your home.
If the lure of the local dry land isn’t enough,
Boxgrove is just twenty minutes from the beautiful
sandy beaches of the Witterings – so, pack a towel
and a picnic for a great day on the south coast.
